CAM INITIATIVES

Green Museums Initiative
In 2006, CAM took the forward-thinking step to develop a Green Museums Initiative to inspire California museums to develop green business practices, eco-friendly facility management, and sustainable programming. Learn more about the Green Museums Initiative HERE.

Multicultural Initiative
The goal of the Multicultural Initiative is to increase the number of underrepresented communities in museums as paid staff members, namely individuals of Latino/Hispanic, African, Asian, Native American, or Pacific Islander descent.

License Plate Campaign
CAM is working with state officials to establish a special license plate for museums. The vision is to create a special license plate program that will provide funding for California museums.

Cultural Agenda for California
CAM’s vision is to be a partner in the development of a comprehensive and responsive cultural agenda for the state of California to support California’s artistic, cultural, natural, and historical resources.
