Archaeological Collections Manager

Fowler Museum at UCLA

Los Angeles, California

Under the direction of the Curator of Native American Cultures at the Fowler Museum at UCLA, the Archaeological Collections Manager will facilitate the daily implementation of NAGPRA (Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act) and CalNAGPRA as well as curatorial projects in compliance with state and federal regulations. This supervises a Repatriation team including two leads, student employees, and interns. Fosters community participation among underrepresented Native American tribes and communities by promoting consultation regarding collections at the Fowler Museum. May also include attending cultural and education committees out in the communities and within the University of California.
