The Public Programs Volunteer Program Assistant Manager plays a key role in reopening the Academy’s Public Programs volunteer program by identifying Academy needs, volunteer needs, and setting future priorities accordingly. The assistant manager will partner with the Public Programs Volunteer Program Manager to plan and launch program redesign, and ensure the successful return to service for all volunteers. After reopening, this position manages program operations, including recruiting, training, scheduling, and daily supervision of up to 800 volunteers, as well as the training and support of Volunteer Coordinators. To provide proper oversight of volunteers, approximately 1 weekend day each week, and 1-2 evenings per month are required.
