Collections Cataloguing Fellowship (Fixed-Term)

Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco

San Francisco, California

Corporation of the Fine Arts Museums (COFAM) is excited to offer four (4) fellowship positions, each with a term of two years. These roles are part of an ongoing priority to meaningfully expand our professional development opportunities for aspiring museum professionals of all backgrounds and to our commitment in making FAMSF a more diverse, accessible, and inclusive institution.

These Fellowships will train emerging professionals from diverse backgrounds in the practice of researching and cataloguing works of art: compilation of provenance, exhibition history, and bibliographic references, and documenting critical opinions. These skills are the foundation of art-historical knowledge and are essential elements of curatorial practice.

This is a full-time, 40-hour per week position that is non-exempt, hourly rate of $26.44, or $55,000 annually. This position is grant funded for a two year fixed-term, and includes a generous benefits package.
