Community Engagement Manager (Temporary, Remote)

As a grant funded position, the Community Engagement Manager is one that supports the initiatives and programs set forth in CAM’s Equity Action Plan. This role will be responsible for collaborating with the Equity Advisory Committee, and working with the CAM staff to ensure all CAM programs promote diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion (DEAI). The main function of the position is to foster a culture of community, diversity and inclusion, and support underrepresented museum professionals to address issues and opportunities of equity that impact their learning and advancement.

Minimum Experience of at least one year in pertinent areas of responsibility is required, with a proficiency in G Workspace, including Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs and Sheets, and Drive, proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and a commitment to promoting DEAI within California’s arts and cultural sector, particularly in museums.

This position is non-exempt Full-Time Temporary, with grant funding through Fall 2025 and a salary of $52,000. Benefits include paid vacation, sick leave, personal days, and holidays.
