Curatorial Assistant

This is a seasonal “Park Interpretive Specialist” position. Employee will function as a curatorial assistant for the Capital District, in Sacramento.
This position is primarily responsible for the assessment, inventory, handling, movement, cleaning, and cataloguing of Capital District museum collections. Tasks will include digital photography, research, records management, data entry, packing and rehousing objects, and other tasks related to the care and storage of Capital District museum collections.
Assistant will report to the Curator I.
The primary reporting location is the Statewide Museum Collections Center at 4940 Lang Ave., McClellan Business Park. There will be assignments at museums and historic sites throughout Capital District, $15.00-18.18/hour. Limited to 1500 hours/year (3/4 time).
