Development Associate provides administrative support to the Japanese American National Museum development team. Responds to constituent inquiries via phone, email, or in-person and directs these inquiries to appropriate staff person. Assists with development events, including annual benefit, provides event support to development team members to ensure ability to meet annual fundraising goals and serve the organization’s mission.
Bachelor’s degree + previous work with museums, non-profit, academic or cultural organizations; experience in a fundraising environment preferred. Minimum two years of experience assisting with event logistics, including planning and execution. Minimum two years of experience working with databases and data entry. MS Office, Google Calendar, Gmail, and CRM/Altru database preferred. Knowledge of Japanese surnames, and familiarity with Japanese American/Asian American history and culture a plus. COVID-19 vaccination + bivalent booster required to work on-site.
