The Development Manager is responsible for generating OACC’s contributed income by designing, executing, and managing fundraising strategies, including grant procurement programs, Annual Giving campaigns, Individual Giving, and special events. The DM also assists in maximizing OACC’s revenues through relationship development.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 - 5 years of nonprofit development, foundation relations or grant writing experience.
  • Excellence in organizational, managerial, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with donor management systems: LiveImpact, NEON or Raiser’s Edge.
  • Connection to the Oakland/East Bay philanthropic community.
  • Culturally sensitive/competent to serve the API and BIPOC community.
  • Proficiency in Box, Microsoft and Google Suite. Adobe Suite/Canva, a plus.


  • Bilingual—any Asian language useful in our community.
  • An interest in APIA culture and arts.


Part-time or flexible schedule optional.
Salary $65,000-75,000, DOE, plus healthcare stipend, parking allowance, 403(b) plan.
