The Education and Public Programs Manager manages the implementation of the Deputy Director’s strategic vision for the museum’s educational initiatives by managing the organization and presentation of the museum’s public programs, educational initiatives and outreach programs.  The Education and Public Programs Manager liaises with curators, docents, students, volunteers, interns, and the general public, and manages the development, organization, and evaluation of programs that connect the museum to a wide variety of audiences and that are responsive to current thinking in the fields of museum education, education theory, and informal learning.

  1. Bachelor’s degree in studio art, art education, museum education, or a related field
  2. Minimum of 5 years previous experience in museum education and/or museum public programming.
  3. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  4. Ability to interact successfully with diverse audiences and museum stakeholders
