About the San Francisco Historical Society:
The San Francisco Historical Society exists to uncover, preserve, and present the colorful and diverse history of our city from its earliest days to the present.

We do this through history programs, walking tours, publications, special events and exhibits, and ongoing collaborations with other local history groups. Our museum and event space is located at 608 Commercial Street in downtown San Francisco.

Position Summary:
We are looking for a new Executive Director. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the San Francisco Historical Society’s consistent and effective achievement of its mission and financial objectives, and for the leadership and management of the organization. Responsibilities include Human Resources, Operations, Strategic Planning, Fundraising, and Marketing and Outreach.

Salary: $130K - $170K based on experience.
