The Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum is seeking an Executive Director. The Director is responsible to the Board of Directors for management of the entire nonprofit organization and serves as chief executive officer. Responsibilities include fundraising and development, human resources, strategic planning, collections management, exhibits, public programs, finance, communications, and directing staff/volunteers. Represents organization to government agencies and the community.

The Museum was established in 1974 to preserve and interpret the history of the city of Vallejo and the U.S. Navy at Mare Island. The Museum presents exhibits and programs that explore and celebrate the cultural traditions of the community, connecting with children, families, seniors, and a diverse 21st century audience.

Salary Range: $60,000 to $75,000. Minimum BA/BS in related field and prior museum experience. Total compensation package based on experience. Health care/benefits negotiable. Review of applications begins October 1. Email cover letter and resume to: Director Search [email protected].
