The Bay Area Electric Railroad Association seeks a strategic and effective leader to serve as its next Executive Director for the Western Railway Museum.  The Western Railway Museum holds the largest collection of Sacramento Northern Railway (SN) equipment as well as other electric railways around the West. The museum offers an array of family fun activities including historic streetcar and interurban train rides, railway exhibits, a museum store and small café.

The Executive Director is responsible for general operational, administrative, and financial management of the museum.  The successful candidate should have a working knowledge and experience at an administrative level at a museum or nonprofit organization and should have a record of strategic management and planning, successful fundraising, management of budgets, and good communication skills.

This is a full-time exempt position with a salary range of $85,000 to $125,000.
