Executive Director of Development

The Institute and Museum of California Art at University of California, Irvine seeks an Executive Director of Development (EDOD) to lead its fundraising efforts. Reporting to the IMCA Deputy Director with a dotted line to the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Advancement, this position is a member of IMCA’s management team and will work on-site at the museum’s office in Irvine.
The EDOD directs fundraising initiatives with a goal of securing $3M+ annually; identifies, researches, and manages a portfolio of 100-125 prospects; prepares proposals to institutional funders; and organizes events and other activities to engage donors, members, and prospects.
- 7-10+ years of work experience
- BA required; MA and/or CFRE preferred
- Documented success in major gifts and grants
- Superior communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and collegial skills, organized and self-motivated
