People Operations Manager

Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 

The People Operations Manager ensures positive employee experience at Kidspace, focusing on employee engagement and Museum culture of learning. Manages one report.  

Core Responsibilities:

• Maintain knowledge in HR/talent management; applies to identify improvement strategies, communicate recommendations for change in policy, practice, resources
• Develop training and development program
• Support managers in evaluations, training, promotion, discipline, etc.
• Ensure organizational compliance with applicable laws, regulations
• Administer, communicate, and educate regarding compensation, benefits
• Oversee payroll process, provide requested reporting
• Manage WC, SDI, and UI claims, processes
• Administer LOAs, maintain communication, coordinate RTW/accommodations
• Maintain employee records
• Actively contributes to culture of inclusivity, welcome, collaboration, play

Minimum Requirements:

• 3+ years HR, management/non-profit preferred
• Experience with union, non-union staff desired
• Commitment to DEI principles
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to manage sensitive, confidential situations
• Experience with MS Office, payroll/HRIS programs
• BA desired, HR certification preferred
