History San José seeks a dynamic Manager of Private & Special Events with solid management skills to lead the museum’s facilities use program. The Manager of Private & Special Events is responsible for booking, planning, managing, and evaluating all facility events that occur at History San José sites. A degree in hospitality management, tourism, or related field; experience working in a museum or cultural institution; budget development and financial management; personnel management required. Demonstrated success in generating revenue for the organization is a plus. Flexible work schedule, adjusted during the peak event season, including weekends and evenings. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere of mutual support. Fluency in non-English language and the ability to contribute to the cultural diversity of professional staff is valued.
