The Visitor Services Lead position supports management at the welcome desk and in the store as well as handle day-to-day interactions with the museum. This position will be responsible for assisting the coordinators and manager with opening and closing duties. Individual should be comfortable informing and discussing a culture that may not be their own. The position will engage with many types of museum visitors and should be knowledgeable about the museum, it’s location, and the surrounding area in Palm Springs. The position will be primarily greeting museum visitors, processing sales, answering any questions from the visitor in both the admissions and the store. Verify opening and closing cash drawers and deposits. A successful candidate will enjoy interacting with visitors, be confident in handling cash, and will ensure that all engagement with visitors aligns with the Tribe’s direction and voice. Position will also be cross trained in the exhibition galleries, store, and welcome desk. This position reports to the Manager of Retail and Visitor Services.

Pay Rate: $23.50/hour
