The Japanese American National Museum needs two part-time Museum Educators to facilitate student group gallery experiences and activities working with student groups and volunteer docents. Museum education, public speaking, and customer service experience beneficial. Position temporary starting February 2023 thru December 31, 2023 with possible extension. Three hour shifts between 9:00 am – 1:00 pm for a total of 12 – 15 hours per week. Most shifts are Tuesdays through Fridays during the school year. Fewer shifts when school is not in session. Some afternoon, evening, or weekend hours to provide gallery visit experiences for adult audiences. Anti-bias and anti-racist teaching must be promoted. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum one year working in an educational environment with students.
