Museum Store Associate (Part-Time)

The Part-Time Museum Store Associate with the Japanese American National Museum is responsible for promoting sales, processing sales and orders, providing excellent customer service. Three days, 22.5 hours per week. One weekend day required but weekday schedule flexible with advance notice. Preferred schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday; 10:00am to 6:30pm. Must be able to work large museum-wide events like Family Festival Days. All Store staff required to be available for Black Friday weekend, annual inventory.

HS diploma, BA preferred. Minimum six months retail customer service experience. Multi-task, adept with handling cash, processing sales. Professional phone skills required. Knowledge of Retail Star POS, Altru database, Gmail, MS Office, Shopify POS and online preferred. Sensitivity to issues of diversity and ethnicity is essential. Clear background and credit checks; fully vaccinated + Boosted for COVID-19 required to work on-site.
