Museum Store Associate (Part-Time)

Duties include providing excellent customer service, promoting sales, processing on-site, phone, mail, and web order sales, assisting with store displays, receipt, and stocking of merchandise, packing outgoing orders.

Preferred schedule 15-23 hours/week; one weekend day required. Weekday schedule flexible with advance notice. Weekends and some evening hours required.

High School Diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Minimum 6 months retail experience. Professional phone manner essential. Adept with handling cash and processing sales. Prior non-profit, museum experience and working with volunteers is beneficial. Knowledge of Japanese American history, culture and community is a plus.

Computer literate, Internet savvy, and experience with MS Word, Excel, and Power Point preferred. Knowledge of Retail Star POS, Altru database, Gmail and Shopify POS and online preferred.
