UC Systemwide Repatriation Coordinator

The University of California, Office of the President (UCOP) is hiring for a UC Systemwide Repatriation Coordinator. Responsibilities of this position will include:

• Providing coordination and expertise to campus repatriation practitioners, UC leadership, and other constituent groups to ensure compliance with NAGPRA, CalNAGPRA, and the UC Native American Cultural Affiliation & Repatriation Policy
• Convening and supporting the Systemwide Native American Repatriation Implementation and Oversight Committee (Systemwide Committee)
• Serving as the UC-wide point of contact for tribal inquiries, appeals, or complaints
• Compiling reports and preparing other documents for review by UC leadership and oversight committees
• Developing, coordinating, and/or conducting training on topics relating to repatriation
• Consulting/coordinating with Native American tribes, state and federal government officials, oversight committees, UC faculty and staff, and other stakeholders on matters relating to repatriation.

Salary: $113,000 - $131,100 annually commensurate with skills/experience.
