Hiring Pay Scale: $61,800-$67,920/ Annually

The Exhibit Fabricator (EF) at Birch Aquarium is a dynamic, hands-on maker and supervisor responsible for the complete lifecycle of exhibit production, from fabrication and construction to installation, de-installation, and ongoing maintenance. Reporting to the Director of Exhibits, ensures that all exhibits align with original design concepts, incorporating various multimedia systems, including audio, video, digital art, and new media. Works closely with exhibit designers, project managers, and other stakeholders to conceptualize, design, and schedule projects. This role also oversees all aspects of materials and vendor research, purchasing, on-site and off-site construction, and the coordination of skill-specific craftspeople for exhibit installations.

Responsible for maintaining the exhibit's wood shop and ensuring safety compliance while managing student assistants' activities and directing lower-level exhibition specialists.
