Centering Equity Roundtable Discussions
Some of the concerns raised in the Equity Action Plan focus group meetings addressed the working conditions in museum settings. This included emotional and physical safety, more transparent communication and decision-making, low wages, barriers to access, and greater diversity in forward-facing positions. The cultivation of more inclusive museum work environments for BIPOC and EMPs requires the involvement of museum leaders. The roundtable discussions CAM will be offering are for senior managers, including directors, and serve as a space for discussion and learning.

Upcoming Roundtable Discussions
To date, we have held four roundtables with museum leaders across the state, and are looking forward to bringing more museum professionals into these discussions in 2024. Stay tuned for future announcements regarding upcoming programming.
