CAM has been hard at work for you in 2025, bringing museum workers together to connect and learn, to advocate for important issues impacting the field, and to address critical issues around equity and inclusion. Our initiatives are so important to the California museum community. Support this work by giving today!

CAM relies on your support for its wide-ranging programs.

• Set in San Francisco, CAM’s 2025 Annual Conference "Interwoven" connected many more new museum professionals and CAM first-time attendees than we had experienced in many years, with relevant and moving presentations, networking opportunities galore, and the invaluable camaraderie of colleagues from across the state.
• CAM enabled 40 scholarships to museum professionals who applied for support to attend the conference. Of the scholarship recipients 90% identified as BIPOC, 23% lived in rural areas, 52% were part-time museum professionals, and 90% were emerging museum professionals.
• In their responses to our post-conference survey, attendees asked us to prioritize future learning and education with content centered in DEAI, exhibition work, decolonization, Native voices, registration and collections, and small museums. WE HEARD YOU! The 2026 conference in Los Angeles will prioritize all of those topics and more.
• In addition to the commitment we show through our conferences and other programs, we also held firm to CAM’s Equity Action Plan to promote equity and inclusion, based on input from underrepresented groups in the museum field.
